Bedtime

So we have attemted to put the baby down in his crib, still awake….. he has been playing for half an hour or so and so far so good, but it is 9:45…..I don’t think he realizes that he is suposed to be sleeping in his crib. I have not been the best of moms, usually he falls asleep on my chest, while I wind down. There is something to be said about rituals I guess.

In other news, I can see more than half of my front yard. It is amazing. I want to plant five thousand plants, grow heirloom tomatoes, but then I see a small herd of deer mnching on the brand new shoots of grass. Trevor almost fought some old lady on the street because she told him not to stress the deer out, they had a long, hard winter was her reasoning. He basically said f#% off b^&%, don’t stress me out. Thank God the sun has been out, my sweet husband has been close to chanting redrum, redrum, all winter.

Catcher is starting to realize that his crib is not all for fun, he has the fakest baby cry I have ever heard. ( I know the real one, it tears me apart)

It’s Over

This weekend is the weekend from hell. It was Ice Festival weekend. Town fills up to about 3000 people for 4 days and then they leave. Business was super great. Generally when this time of year rolls around Trevor and I both get sick but, not this year, this year it was Tatia. Our wonderful hard working reliable Tatia got some illness. I hope she is feeling better soon. We made it through without her but Trevor and I might not have tried to kill each other this morning if she had been there. All is well now, it is over, I love sleep!!

Snow

We were supposed to get 1-4 feet and we finally got it. i stuck Catcher in the snow bank. He didn’t know what to think, but living here he will quickly figure it out.

A New Year

I will take on some new resolutions for this year. Last year there were none but this year I will set myself up for inevitable failure to resolve the issues I am going to now create for myself.

Resolutions

1. To get in better shape and hopefully lose weight along the way. I have new snowshoes, a yoga punch card and a treadmill collecting coal dust in my basement.

2. Give up bacon as a daily staple.

3. Take a real vacation.

I guess that is all I can think of right now…I will update on how successful I am.
